New Delhi (29.04.2025): Union Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has reportedly declined Jharkhand Govt’s proposal seeking Centre’s consent on extension to Jharkhand Director General of Police (DGP) Anurag Gupta (IPS: 1990: JH) beyond April 30, 2025. The MHA has sent a communication to Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren that continuing the DGP Anurag Gupta beyond April 30 is not appropriate and his services come to an end on April 30. The senior officials of the Jharkhand government forwarded this MHA letter to the CM who is on foreign tour.ALSO READ
