Central Lure or Cadre Fatigue? Seventeen IAS Officers Opt for Central Deputation

Bhopal (24.11.2025): IAS officers in Madhya Pradesh are no more interested in serving the state rather wants a deputation at the Centre. Seventeen such officers have gone to the Central Government on deputation in the past year while only three officers returned to the state.
The Department of Personnel and Training has issued an order for the deputation Avinash Lavania (IAS: 2009: MP) to the Centre. Preeti Maithil (IAS: 2009: MP), Priyanka Das (IAS: 2009: MP), Sofia Wali Faruqui (IAS: 2009: MP), Tarun Pithode (IAS: 2009: MP), Ajeet Kumar (IAS: 2002: MP). Chandramohan Thakur (IAS: 2012: MP), Pankaj Jain (IAS: 2012: MP), Neeraj Singh (IAS: 2012: MP), Tanvi Sundriyal (IAS: 2010: MP), Praveen Singh Adhayach (IAS: 2012: MP), Nikunj Shrivastava (IAS: 2098: MP), Gyaneshwar Patil (IAS: 2003: MP), Pawan Sharma (IAS: 2099: MP), Bakki Karthikeyan (IAS: 2012: MP), Harsh Dikshit (IAS: 2013: MP), and Anuradha P have already gone to the Centre on deputation.
Vishesh Garhpale (IAS: 2008: MP), Ashish Bhargava (IAS: 2012: MP), and Ruhi Khan (IAS: 2013: MP) have returned to the state. Only Garhpale is the secretary-rank officer. Swatantra Kumar Singh (IAS: 2007: MP) and Abhishek Singh (IAS: 2009: MP) are also trying to go to the Centre on deputation. Both have submitted applications for it. Shriman Shukla (IAS: 2007: MP) and John Kingsley (IAS: 2004: MP), were also keen to go to the Centre. They applied for deputation, but as they did not get postings in the Central Government.
