CBIC: Six IRS officers empanelled & promoted, two in the rank of Principal Chief Commissioner

New Delhi (25.03.2025): Two Indian Revenue Service (Customs & Indirect Taxes) officers were empanelled and promoted as Principal Chief Commissioner/Principal Director General (Apex Scale).
In addition, two officers promoted as Chief Commissioner and two as Principal Commissioner respectively. 
The list of officers empanelled and promoted goes as follows:-
Principal Chief Commissioner/Principal DG:
  1. Chandra Prakash Goyal (IRS C&IT: 1991) 
  2. Prachi Saroop (IRS C&IT: 1991)
C P Goyal will retire in October this year while Saroop has terms of service till July 2028.
Chief Commissioner, Customs & Indirect Taxes:
  1. Manas Ranjan Mohanty (IRS C&IT: 1992)
  2. Navin Kumar Jain (IRS C&IT: 1992)
Mohanty will remain in service till June 2027 while Jain a year-long terms in service. 
Principal Commissioner:
  1. B A V Srinivasa Rao (IRS C&IT: 1995)
  2. Lalit Prasad (IRS C&IT: 1995)
Prasad will retire in July next year whereas Srinivasa Rao will remain on the turf till June 2030.
