At the outset of implementation of GST (w.e.f. 01 July 2017) the Central Board of Excise & Customs on Friday got two new members namely; Susanta Kumar Panda (IRS C&CE:1982), Ameeta Suri, (IRS C&CE:1982). Pranab Kumar Das (IRS C&CE:1983) and John Joseph (IRS C&CE:1983) were also named as Member in anticipation of the vacancies scheduled to arise on 01 September and 01 November this year.
Further two names were cleared by the ACC as Member, Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) namely; Arbind Modi (IRS IT:1982) and Bajrang Dass Bishnoi (IRS IT:1982). Modi will shortly take charge as Member against a post lying vacant since 01 May 2017 whereas Bishnoi will take charge on 01 August after a post will fall vacant on 31 July 2017.
