There are some obvious names and some surprising names doing rounds for the possible reshuffle which may happen after Makar Sankranti.
Grapevine is abuzz that a powerful chief minister who was once in the race for the PM in 2014 may become part of the Modi cabinet. A powerful minister in the Modi government who was in the race for the chief minister of a state may get his wings clipped. People say that he accepted that he may go. But the most interesting thing is that the impact of the Bharat Jodo Yatra seems to be visible in the actions and decisions of the ruling dispensation. It is likely to have its impact on the reshuffle as well if one of the most bitter critics of Rahul Gandhi, who surprised him in Amethi, may get some important ministry. Despite having the giant killer tag, she is still far away from being counted as important in terms of the ministerial assignment.
And a prominent Gujarat leader is likely to get some important assignment either in the government or in the organization for a never before the performance of the BJP in state Assembly elections.
