New Delhi (31.08.2023): With the last date for submission of application (i.e. 30.08.2023) the process of shortlisting and selection for a regular Managing Director of National High Speed Rail Corporation Ltd (NHSRCL) is expected to gather the pace. NHSRCL, also known as ‘Bullet Train Project’ has been PM Modi’s dream project and crucial also to the image of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. 
By clearing the appointment of four Board-level positions in one go this week the New Delhi establishment sent out a clear signal that its dream project (Bullet Train) will gather new momentum.     
Four Board-level appointments cleared by the ACC goes as follows:
01. Director (Finance): V P Tripathi
The ACC’ approval comes as regularisation of Vivek Prakash Tripathi (IRAS: 1998) Director (Finance), NHSRCL; a post he held as additional charge. Tripathi was appointed for a period ending  31.01.2028 i.e. date of completion of ten years of deputation to NHRCL. Though he has more than ten years remaining in service. 
02. Director (Projects): Anjum Pervez
Anjum Pervez was appointed to the post of Director (Projects), NHSRCL, on absorption basis, till his superannuation i.e. 30.09.66. He replaces Rajendra Prasad who was also holding the additional charge of MD, NHSRCL for several months. 
03. Director (E& S): Alok Katiyar
The ACC cleared the appointment of Alok Katiyar as Director (Electrical & System), NHSRCL on absorption basis for a period of five years w.e.f. the date of assumption of charge on or after 31.08.23 or till the date of superannuation. Currently, he is working as PED (S&T), NHSRCL.
04. Director (RS): Sandeep Srivastava
The ACC also cleared the appointment of Sandeep Srivastava (IRSEE: 1993) to the post of Director (Rolling Stock), NHSRCL, on absorption basis for a period of five years. Currently, he is working as PED/RS, NHSRCL, on deputation. Srivastava replaces Vijay Kumar.
