Bengaluru (10.03.2023): Woes of the BJP are far from getting over in Karnataka as after central leadership's decision to elevate BS Yediyurappa to the party's core electioneering team, unhappiness, and dissidence triggered in the Karnataka unit. Leaders like V Sommanna and Basanagouda Patil Yatnal among a section of MLAs and leaders are found to be sulking as they feel BSY's son Vijayendra will become more influential. They have already expressed their dissent. Somanna has gone up to the extent of threatening that party that he would quit if Vijayendra is given a bigger role. Senior ministers like Ashwath Narayan, CP Yogeshwar are said to be uncomfortable with the elevation of BSY. The crux of their problem is not BSY per se, but Vijayendra's growing powers.
