BPCL’s net profit for Q3 dips marginally to Rs 1,901 cr

New Delhi (08.02.21): Bharat Petroleum Corporation (BPCL) recently announced 1,900.63 crore in consolidated profit for the third quarter of FY2021. This is a decline from the 2,051.43 crore net profit reported by the company in February in the last financial year.
 
The date for the determination of eligibility was set as 19 February 2021. Despite the decline in net profit, BPCL reported increased aggregated total revenue of {88,027.16 crore during the quarter under review. This amounted to a rise from 786,495.22 crore in the equivalent months of the FY20.
 
The estimated net refining margin from April to December 2020 of crude oil analysed was $2.90 per barrel, down from $3.15 per barrel in the same months of 2019. Hence, the Centre is in the process of liquidating its stake in this PSU.
