Delhi (18.08.2024): In the backdrop of incumbent DGP seeking central deputation, change of guard in Bihar Police becomes eminent. Three names belonging to 1989, 1990 and 1991 batches are doing rounds for the post of state police chief. If some well-placed sources are to be believed, Alok Raj (IPS: 1989: BH) may be picked up as the successor of Rajwinder Singh Bhatti (IPS: 1990: BH). In addition to Raj, two other officers, Vinay Kumar (IPS: 1991: BH) and Shobha Ahotkar (IPS: 1990: BH), are also in the reckoning.
