Jawed Shamim (IGP Traffic, North Bengal) has returned back to Kolkata Police as Additional Commissioner of Police-II while the present ACP-II, Dr R Sivakumar will take over as IGP (Headquarters)-II in the State police. Simultaneously, SP of East Burdwan Kunal Agarwal will take over as SP of Birbhum and SP of Nadia Santosh Pandey will take over as Deputy Commissioner, Cyber Crime, in Kolkata Police. Anoop Jaiswal (Commandant 6th Battalion), State Armed Police has been appointed as SP of North Dinajpur replacing Shyam Singh who will take over as Commandant (10th Battalion) in State Armed Police. Sudheer Kumar Neelakantam (SP of Birbhum) will now join as DC, East Division, Kolkata Police, replacing Rupesh Kumar, who has been asked to join as SP of Nadia while Bhaskar Mukherjee, DC Zone-II (Airport Division), Bidhannagar Police Commissionerate will be joining as SP of East Burdwan. Nagendra Nath Tripathi (Commandant 10th Battalion) in State Armed Police will take over as DC Traffic under Siliguri Police Commissionerate replacing Sunil Kumar Yadav, who has been appointed SP of Alipurduar. Avvaru Ravindranath (SP of Alipurduar) has been appointed as DC Zone-II (Airport Division) under Bidhannagar Police Commissionerate. Rahul Goswami, Additional SP (Zonal), Diamond Harbour Police District, has been appointed as Additional DCDD, Bidhannagar Police Commissionerate.
