Indianmandarins has reliably learned that Dr E L S N Bala Prasad (IAS:1986:BH) may be appointed as Secretary to the President; a post which will fall vacant after Sanjay Kothari takes oath as Chief Vigilance Commissioner. Presently, he is working in the President Secretariat as Special Secretary to The President. It is believed that the new Secretary’s appointment may be on co-terminus basis with the President. Reportedly, a senior IAS officer’s name was tossed for the coveted position but Bala Prasad remained as the first choice for the job who still has a year long term in service.
