The Public Sector headhunter (PESB) on Thursday selected Arup Chatterjee for the post of Director (Engineering and R&D), Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL).
Subject to requisite clearances Chatterjee may replace D K Venkatesh, the outgoing Director retiring in May 2018.
Currently he serves as General Manager, HAL.
Altogether six members appeared before PESB for the interview namely; Debashish Deb (ED, HAL); Sanjiv Shukla (ED, HAL); Thenmozhi S (GM, HAL); D B Chalwade (GM, HAL); Arup Chatterjee (GM, HAL) and M Showkath Ali Baig (Chief Designer, HAL).
