New Delhi (03.02. 2024): Notifications of appointments and recommendations issued on Saturday are as follows:-
- Jaideep Mazumdar (IFS: 1989) was appointed as Secretary (East) in the Ministry of External Affairs vice Saurabh Kumar. Currently, Jaideep Mazumdar is Ambassador of India in Vienna.
- Pavan Kapoor (IFS: 1990) was appointed as Secretary (West) in the Ministry of External Affairs vice Sanjay Verma. Currently, and Pavan Kapoor is Indian Ambassador in Moscow.
- Abhay Thakur (IFS: 1992) named as India's next ambassador to Russia. Thakur will succeed Sanjay Verma (IFS: 1990)
- Apurva Chandra (IAS: 1988: MH) was appointed as Secretary, Department of Health and Family Welfare.
- Sukhbir Singh Sandhu (Retd IAS :1988: UK) was appointed as Secretary to the Lokpal on contract basis for a period of one year.
- Raj Kumar Goyal (IAS :1990: UT) was appointed as Secretary, Department of Border Management, Ministry of Home Affairs.
- Niten Chandra (IAS:1990: OR) was appointed as Secretary, Department of Ex-Servicemen Welfare, Ministry of Defence.
- K Moses Chalai (IAS: 1990: MN) was appointed as Secretary, Inter State Council Secretariat, Ministry of Home Affairs.
- Anil Malik (IAS: 1991: HY) was appointed as Secretary, Ministry of Women and Child Development vice Indevar Pandey (IAS: 1988: WB) upon his superannuation on 29.02.2024.
- Sumita Dawra (IAS: 1991: AP) was appointed as Secretary, Ministry of Labour and Employment vice Arti Ahuja (IAS: 1990: OR) upon her superannuation on 29.02.2024.
- Vijay Kumar (IAS: 1992: UT) was appointed as Chairman, Inland Waterways Authority of India, Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways in the rank and pay of Secretary to the Government of India by temporarily upgrading the post.
- Ashish Kumar Bhutani (IAS: 1992: AM) was appointed as Secretary, Ministry of Cooperation.
- Sanjay Jaju (IAS: 1992: TG) was appointed as Secretary, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting.
- P Daniel (IDES: 1989), Secretary, Central Vigilance Commission, was appointed (in-situ) as Secretary, Central Vigilance Commission in the rank and pay of Secretary to the Government of India.
- Rashmi Chowdhary (IRPS: 1989), Secretary, Central Information Commission, Department of Personnel and Training, was appointed (in-situ) as Secretary, Central Information Commission, Department of Personnel and Training in the rank and pay of Secretary to the Government of India.
- A Neeraja (IFoS: 1990: UP), Additional Secretary, Department of Fertilizers, was appointed (in-situ) as Special Secretary, Department of Fertilizers.
- Shyam Bhagat Negi (IPS: 1990: HP), Additional Secretary, Cabinet Secretariat (SR), was appointed (in-situ) as Special Secretary, Cabinet Secretariat (SR).
- Reeta Vasishta, In-charge, Central Agency Section, Ministry of Law & Justice, was appointed as Member Secretary, 22nd Law Commission of India.
