The Appointment Committee of the Cabinet on Thursday cleared the appointment of Prasant Kumar Mohapatra (Regional ED, South, NTPC) to the post of Director (Technical), National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) for a period of five years.
The public sector headhunter had selected Mohapatra for this board level position on 17 August 2017. The post fell vacant following the retirement of A K Jha on July 31, 2017.
A Mechanical Engineer from Regional Engineering College Rourkela, Mohapatra had joined NTPC in 1980 as an Executive Trainee.
