The government is looking for a
Director of Prosecution, CBI. An advertisement for this purpose was issued on
Monday. The post fell vacant on the expiry of O P Verma's on 24 December 2018. As per the amended rules, a Joint
Secretary (GoI) rank officer eligible for appointment as Special Public
Prosecutor will be eligible for the post of Director (Prosecution) CBI. The
candidate will be selected on the recommendation of the Central Vigilance
Commission and the term of the appointment will be for two years.
