Anshuman Gaur (IFS:2001) has been appointed as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) to Vice President Hamid Ansari.
Mr. Gaur will replace Nagesh Singh (IFS:1995), who has been sent back to his cadre -- Ministry of External Affairs. Mr. Gaur has been appointed OSD for a period of five years or on co-terminus basis with the Vice President's tenure.
The Appointments Committee of Cabinet has approved premature repatriation of Mr. Singh. Mr. Singh will be eligible for another central deputation only after July 26, 2020.
