New Delhi (18.11.2022): The incumbent Telangana Director General of Police M Mahender Reddy (IPS: 1986: TG) is all set to join Bharat Rashtra Samiti -- an outfit led by Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao. Mahender Reddy is retiring from service on December 31, 2022.Reportedly, he may contest next elections – either the state assembly or the Lok Sabha. KCR has been showering praises on Mahender Reddy whenever there is an occasion. There are several instances of bureaucrats and IPS officers entering politics soon after their retirement or by taking premature retirement. Recently, Siddipet collector Venkatrami Reddy took the VRS and joined the TRS to become an MLC.
