New Delhi (17.02.2026): In a notable departure from the Indian Forest Service K. Kannan, a 2004-batch officer belonging to the Punjab Cadre, is set to retire voluntarily. The Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEF&CC) formalised the request through an official notification issued on Monday. It said that the President of India has accepted his resignation from service under the provisions of All India Service (Death-cum-Retirement Benefits) Rules, 1958.
