Air India connects Delhi with Madrid

air-india-connects-delhi-with-madrid Inaugurating Air India's three times a week non-stop flight connecting Delhi with Madrid, Pankaj Srivastava (Director, Commercial) said that Air India has many plans to offer in terms of expanding flight footprints and increasing the frequency to existing international destinations in Europe, West Africa, and South Americas. Madrid is Air India's 42nd International destination and 09th European destination in six countries, including UK-London & Birmingham, Germany-Frankfurt, Austria-Vienna, France-Paris, Italy-Rome & Milan, Russia-Moscow and Spain-Madrid. The airline is looking to start operations in the Scandinavian region with plans to launch flights to either Copenhagen or Stockholm by the middle of 2017, he announced at a function. On the anvil are also plans to connect India to Israel and Tanzania and Kenya in Africa he announced. Air India is also evaluating to start a flight connecting Mumbai to Hong Kong and enhance the frequency of flights between not only India and Shanghai but also to Melbourne and Sydney. The airline is looking to add more international destinations to its route network as it taking delivery of more Boeing 787 aircraft popularly called the Dream-liner. Union Civil Aviation Minister A Gajapathi Raju, GMR CEO, Anil Srivastava (Jt Secretary, MoCA) and Ankur Garg (IAS) PS to Union Minster and representatives of Govt of Spain marked their presence in the inaugural function.
