It so happens that former naval commander Kulbhushan Jhadav, who was first abducted by Pakistan's proxy against Iran Jandullah and then transferred to Pakistan army, is a coursemate of MoS for information and Broadcasting, Col Rajyavardhan Singh Rathor. The two were cadets of 77th course of the National Defence Academy (NDA) and passed out in 1989. While Rathore went to the Indian Military Academy (IMA), Dehradun, and joined the Army, Jhadhav was commissioned into the engineering branch of the Navy. Their coursemates and service colleagues now plan to approach Rathore to seek the former officer's release.
