State-run
infrastructure giant Housing and Urban Development Corporation (HUDCO)
organised a community lunch, or ‘Bhandara’, at the India Habitat Centre
complex, in New Delhi on Thursday, June 13, to mark the fasting event or
Nirjala Ekadashi when people abstain from food and water to please the creator.
The Chairman and Managing Director HUDCO Dr M Ravi Kanth himself served water
and food among those present. He was accompanied by other senior officials
through the event.
