Even though a set of factors and variables play crucial roles in the empanelment process of IPS officers to the rank of ADG in Government of India; one may like to observe that Assam-Meghalaya (05 IPS officers) & UP (04 IPS officers) cadres have got maximum number of officers empanelled as ADG.
As many as 32 IPS officers (1984 batch) have finally been empanelled for the post of Additional Director General of Police or equivalent in Government of India. Details are as follows:
