The NaMo administration, on Thursday, announced the appointment of
as many as 14 Executive Directors in different public-sector banks. Their
appointments come more than three months after they were recommended by the
Banks Board Bureau, an advisory body formed by the government for top level
appointments in the banks.
The list of newly appointed EDs are as follows:
- Shanti Lal Jain (GM, Allahabad Bank) and Vikramaditya Singh Khichi
(GM, Dena Bank) appointed ED in Bank of Baroda initially for a period of three
years. Subject to performance review their tenure may extended by two years.
- Agyey Kumar Azad (GM, Bank of India) has been named as ED, PNB.
- Gopal Singh Gusain (GM, PNB) and Manas Ranjan Biswal (GM, PNB)
have been appointed ED, Union Bank of India initially for a period of three
years.
- Vijay Dube (GM, Vijaya Bank) , the general Manager of the Vijaya
Bank, will be executive director in the Oriental Bank of Commerce.
- Alok Srivastava (GM, PNB)
appointed ED, Central Bank of India.
- Hemant Kumar Tamta (GM, Canara Bank) appointed ED in Bank of
Maharashtra
- Sanjay Kumar (GM, United Bank of India) appointed ED in United
Bank of India (UBI).
- P R Rajgopal (GM, UBI) appointed ED, Allahabad Bank for three
years.
- Shenoy Vishwanath Vittal (GM, UBI) appointed ED, Indian Bank vice
A S Rajeev, who was appointed as the MD and CEO of the Bank of Maharashtra.
- Ajit Kumar Das (GM, Canara Bank) as ED in United Bank of India.
- Ajay K Khurana (GM, Vijaya Bank) appointed ED, Syndicate Bank.
Khurana replaces S S Mallikarjuna who had been named as the MD and CEO of the
Allahabd Bank.
- Dinesh Kumar Poonam Chand Garg (GM, Bank of India) appointed ED,
Union Bank of India vice Atul Kumar Goel who is now MD and CEO of the UCO Bank.
