Angry bureaucrats adding up RSS for ouster of AAP from Delhi

New Delhi: If some reliable sources are to be believed some unhappy and humiliated bureaucrats are working to oust Kejriwal (AAP) led Delhi Government in the next Assembly elections. They are working day in and day out to oust AAP. Many of them are in constant touch with the RSS leaders in Delhi to execute plans of the BJP.

Reportedly, disgruntled civil servants are helping the RSS to find ways to weaken Kejriwal’s prospects. These bureaucrats are telling the RSS vulnerability of the government where it could be hit at and strength where it should not be attacked.

RaGa reposes faith in Dikshit; wants a united face of the Congress in Delhi

New Delhi: A word of caution comes from none other than Congress president Rahul Gandhi to the Delhi Congress leadership to fight forthcoming Assembly elections in the state united amid reports that some of its leaders want the party to replace Delhi Congress president Sheila Dikshit with someone else. They were giving the alibi of her age to achieve their objective.

But Rahul Gandhi seems to have reposed his faith in Sheila Dikshit if the sources are to be believed. Apparently the Congress appears to be on revival path at least in Delhi despite the fact it has lost all the seven seats in 2019 Lok Sabha elections. Rahul Gandhi wants the state Congress leadership to put up a joint show in the next Assembly polls under the leadership of former Delhi chief minister that might happen sometimes in January 2020, which is not too far.

A section of Delhi Congress leadership wants her to go and have been campaigning for it. They have gone to the extent of writing a letter to replace her with some young leader. Sources said that meeting of senior Congress leaders held in Delhi on June 28 under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi in which former Delhi Congress president Ajay Maken and Delhi Congress in-charge P C Chako were also present, it was clearly stated that elections must be fought united.

The Congress, which was slipped to third position in Delhi in the past few years, has put up a good show under the leadership of Sheila Dikshit as it stood second on five seats in the recently held Lok Sabha elections pushing Aam Aadmi Party down to the third position. The Congress that had got 7 per cent in the last Assembly elections in Delhi managed to get 23.5 per cent votes in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections while AAP was stopped at 18 per cent votes.

Sources further said that actually backroom preparation by the state Congress president is going on continuously under the supervision of her son and former Lok Sabha MP Sandeep Dikshit. The Congress is emerging stronger by the day with Sheila Dikshit at the helm.

The Congress leadership is well aware about the fact that the former chief minister has a better ability, understanding of the city administration and organisation that is proving handy for her to manage things in Delhi. This will definitely help the Congress to put up a good show in the state. Looking at the present scenario, if the party manages 15-20 Assembly seats, it will not only keep its future prospects alive but also give a new energy to already demoralized workers of the party in the city.

Why did Ashutosh quit AAP?

By IndianMandarins 21 Aug 2018

AAP leader Ashutosh had a dream to become a parliamentarian. He never knew that chief minister Arwind Kejriwal will squeeze his talent to argue effectively on news channels for over four years, and later, he will be shown the door. Sources said he will never return to the party’s fold.  But the question still haunts power corridors as why did Ashutosh quit. Just take a look at three reasons why Ashutosh announced his resignation last week.

Kejriwal assigned Ashutosh Chandni Chowk parliamentary seat to contest the Lok Sabha polls in 2014 but he lost it badly. Reportedly, in 2019, this seat may be given to Pankaj Gupta. Even if Ashutosh was given ticket on this seat, Congress candidate will severely dent the vote of AAP. Thus, there is no chance of becoming a Lok Sabha MP from this seat. Precisely, this LS seat is extremely vulnerable for Ashutosh and Pankaj Gupta both. Contesting this seat would mean loss of energy, face value and resources. So, he took a step to escape unblemished from Kejriwal’s fold.

After continuing his spirited fight on all news channels almost every day to defend Kejriwal, Ashutosh was expecting a Rajya Sabha berth for which he considered himself the strongest claimant. But Kejriwal shattered his dream denying him RS berth.

Hence, he had no role left in the party’s framework to nourish his political ambition.

AAP leadership led by Kejriwal tried hard for the past four months to have a seat-sharing arrangement with the Congress in Delhi but all it failed miserably. Congress is gradually gaining ground and it is in a position to derail AAP and decimate it substantially in the Capital. This will reduce the political prospect of Kejriwal. Before AAP becomes smaller political force compared to existing strength of 67 Assembly seats, it was politically correct for Ashutosh to part ways with old friend Arwind Kejriwal.
