Bengaluru (17.10.2022): The BJP is trying every bit not only to win elections in Karnataka but also to make inroads in Tamil Nadu and Kerala. BJP president J P Nadda recently met Catholic Archbishops in Kerala to win their support for the party and talks are also doing rounds that Roger Binny might be appointed as the next BCCI president replacing Sourav Ganguly. Karnataka has a sizable Christian population and the decision might have a spillover impact in Kerala and Tamil Nadu. Reports are coming from Kerala that Christians are turning soft towards the BJP as it dealt with PFI, the common enemy, sternly recently. But this is the old strategy that did not work in West Bengal.
