Indianmandarins has learnt that Shobhana K Pattanayak (IAS:1982:KN), the incumbent Union Secretary for Agriculture, Cooperation & Farmers' Welfare, is keen to repatriate to Karnataka.
Rumors about his desire for repatriation seem to have emanated from the countdown for appointment of next Chief Secretary to the Govt of Karnataka. The current CS, Aravind Jadhav (IAS:1978:KN), may superannuate on June 30 this year.
Though there are many CS aspirants in the state, he too is said to be keen to join the race. Mr Pattanayak was posted as Secretary (Agri, Coop & FW) on January 29, 2016 Vice Siraj Hussain.
