Power corridors are abuzz that the Centre may replace Arun Goel (IAS:1985:PB) with Girish Chandra Murmu (IAS:1985:GJ) who is currently serving as Additional Secretary, Department of Expenditure. Arun Goel was appointed VC, DDA on July 29, 2015 but his performance, reportedly, could not appease his masters in terms of leadership of men and materials.
If some well-placed sources are to be believed, soon after Goel's appointment, the government received a unenthusiastic feedback on him within a month. But the government did not wish to be seen acting in haste and hence Goel's reassignment was put off then. That consideration having been taken care of, the government wants DDA to perform and hence the search for a new incumbent.
