Chennai (15.06.2023): Tamil Nadu DGP C Sylendra Babu (IPS: 1987: TN) won the shooting competition organised for the IPS officers at the commando shooting range held at the commando training school in Marutham at Raja Annamalai Puram. Sylendra Babu won the Champions of the Champion award and received the trophy. Tiruvannamalai Superintendent of Police Dr K Karthikeyan (IPS: 2017: TN) won the second prize. Marking 50 years completion of women being inducted into the police force, Chief Minister MK Stalin announced to conduct of an exclusive all-India shooting competition for women in the state. To prepare for the competition, 1,797 all women police personnel right from constables to senior officers were selected for the semi-final.
