Thy name is NaMo administration

thy-name-is-namo-administration   The approach of the NaMo administration to, and the subsequent management by Air India and all private sector airlines of, the incident caused on 23 March by a bullying Shiv Sena MP Ravindra Gaikwad has been widely appreciated. With the each passing day, more and more people in power corridors are expressing words of praise for the spirit and ethos which forms the backbone of the NaMo administration. Everybody also has a word of praise for Air India CMD Ashwani Lohani who took no time to ground Gaikwad. Lohani's firm action made the other airlines follow suit. This punctured the inflated vanity of Gaikwad who found himself as persona non grata by all airlines. The latest example was set on Saturday (01st April) when Gaikwad booked a SpiceJet flight to fly from Pune to Ahmedabad on Monday (03rd April 2017). The low-cost carrier's reservation system immediately flagged the passenger name "Mr. Ravindra Gaikwad" and the ticket was promptly canceled, a SpiceJet spokesman said. The MP had paid Rs 4,504 to fly SG 524 at 8.40 pm on Monday.   Observers point out that this is one among many examples that differentiate the NDA regime from the UPA. Suppose the same incident had happened during the UPA regime. Could anyone have expected the same response which the NaMo administration made? At the risk of being labeled anti-UPA, we hold the opinion that there was no way the UPA would have done anything, more so if it were facing a Presidential election as NDA does.    Surely, not only an example is set by grounding Gaikwad, but also a code of conduct defined for all fliers.
