Indianmandarins has reliably learnt that a panel of three names for the post of DG Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has been sent to the ACC for clearance.The three shortlisted candidates are Arun Kumar (IPS:1985UP); B K Sharma (IPS:1986:OR) and Abhay (IPS:1986:OR).
It may be recalled that altogether 11 candidates had applied for the post, of which only 06 were shortlisted. Of the 06, only three were finally screened and were recommended for ACC approval.
It is further learnt that Arun Kumar, who is the senior most among the shortlisted candidates, may be named as DG of NCB; an ADG rank post.
The post fell vacant in April this year following the appointment of Rajiv Rai Bhatnagar (IPS:1983:UP) as DG, CRPF.
