The grapevine has it that the post of Director General, Narcotics Control Bureau may be temporarily up upgraded to the rank of DG. The speculation has started doing rounds as Rajeev Gupta (IPS:1980:AM), the incumbent DG, NCB is expected to join as DGP, Meghalaya on February 05 after he would be relieved from MHA on December 31. Reportedly, a DG rank officer is being considered for DG, NCB which is an ADG rank post.
