Atul Sobti, the incumbent CMD of BHEL, will continue to hold the additional charge of Director (Power) for another six months w.e.f. April 01, 2016. The post fell vacant on December 31 after Sobti took over as CMD, in addition to the additional charge of Director (Fin), on January 01, 2016.
The post was further advertised on January 05. Anticipating the time consuming process of selection, vigilance clearance and ACC ratification the Govt chose to extend the tenure of additional charge of Director (Power) to Sobti for another six months ending September 30.
