The NaMo
administration on Wednesday made another exception by appointing Prabhakar
Singh as DG, CPWD on re-employment basis. He retired on July 31 and on August 01
he was re-employed for a period of one year.
Prabhakar
Singh, an officer belonging to Electrical Engineering cadre, had taken over
from Abhay Sinha mere 30 days ahead of his superannuation. Assigning a top job merely
30 days ahead of retirement was itself an indication that the Govt would have
some post retirement plan. Prior to his appointment of as DG CPWD Singh served
as Special DG, Delhi Region.
