The Bank Board Bureau on Thursday selected C S Shetty (Dy MD,
SBI) for the post of Managing Director, State Bank of India. Altogether 17
candidates were interviewed on Wednesday of which 09 were from SBI. As per the SBI Act, the bank can have four MDs. Presently, SBI
has only three MDs namely P K Gupta, D K Khara and Arijit Basu.
Shetty will be SBI’s new MD
