Braj Raj Sharma (IAS:1984:JK), former Chief Secretary to the Govt of J&K, has been appointed as Additional Secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs. In the first week of May he was made Adviser to J&K CM Mehbooba Mufti.
Indianmandarins had first reported on 03 May 2017 that his appointment as Adviser to CM was an ad-hoc arrangement as he might be brought at centre. Though he failed to find his name on the list of secretary empanelment of 1984 batch IAS but NaMo administration brought him to MHA.
If some reliable sources are to belived Sharma will replace M Gopal Reddy (IAS:1985:MP) who was recently repatriated to parent cadre.
