'Indianmandarins' has reliably learnt that the selection meeting for Special Director, Enforcement Director (Delhi Zone) has been postponed. The meeting had started today (June 23) but all of a sudden it was rescheduled for June 30. Reportedly, 19 applicants are being considered in the race of Special Director, ED. The appointment of of CVC & VC prompted the Dept of Revenue to accelerate the shortlisting process and further slection procedures. The post has been lying vacant since November 19, 2014 after Balesh Kumar (IRS C&CE:1987) was relieved from DoR (on completion of his tenure under central deputation) to repatriate to CBEC. One would find the fact interesting that approx 75 applications were received for the post meant for Delhi whereas only 25 applicants had shown interest for the post meant for Chandigarh.
