Finally, Atul Saraya, former Director (Power) BHEL and incumbent MD & CEO of NTPC-BHEL Projects Pvt Ltd (NBPPL) submitted his resignation on May 03.
Indianmandarins was the first to report (17 March 2016) that the Department of Heavy Industries (DHI) had proposed the removal of Saraya and the Ministry's consent was awaited.
Though Indianmandarins had recently learnt that the file in which former Secretary of the Department of Heavy Industries had recommended the termination of services of Atul Saraya was sent back from the Minister's office without any decision or direction. Therefore it was assumed that Saraya would have become safe and would continue with the top job for the time being.
But finally, Saraya submitted his resignation (on May 03) citing the demise of his Mother as reason for resignation.
Saraya retired from the post of Director (Power) BHEL and took up the responsibility as MD & CEO, NBPPL..
