The power corridors are abuzz that the incumbent Finance Secretary Subhash Garg (IAS:1983:RJ) has put in his papers seeking VRS with a notice period of three months. The rumours started doing rounds since Thursday morning. It may be underlined that yesterday late evening he was laterally shifted from Finance Ministry (Secretary, DEA) to Ministry of Power as Secretary vice Ajay Bhalla (IAS:1984:AM); the Home Secretary designate. Even though there is some substance in the ongoing rumours Garg will serve as Secretary, Ministry of Power for a period of three months.
