In a Major reshuffle in country's premier investigative agency (CBI), Joint Director in charge of sensitive Policy Division, A Sai Manohar (IPS:1995:MP) was unceremoniously removed from his present responsibility and further given new posting as Joint Director Chandigarh and SIT. A K Sharma (IPS:1987:GJ) replaces Manohar as Jt Director (Policy & Anti Corruption).
Reportedly, the higher echelons of the government was upset over the leakages during a high priority raids of an ex-CBI director. But many believed that Manohar was, in December 2016, given the critically important assignment of Policy Division based on his competence and credentials. People in power corridors are puzzled over the reasons which led to this abrupt development.
