He will replace B V R C Purushottam (IAS:2004:UD). In his ever first stint in Govt of India Ravinder got the opportunity to serve as Director, DIPP under Union Ministry of Commerce & Industry on March 19, 2014. Prior to his central deputation Ravinder served as Varanasi DM and further as Commissioner, Varanasi which is politically constituency of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
