Harinder Rao and Anil K Gupta have been appointed as General Manager (GM) of the Eastern and the Western Railway zone respectively. Both Rao and Gupta belong to the Indian Railway Service of Electrical Engineers (IRSEE). According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) approved their appointments to the post. The ACC also approved the appointment of Vishwesh Chaube as the GM of Metro Railway, Kolkata. Chaube is an officer of the Indian Railway Service of Engineers (IRSE). Margoob Hussain, an IRSEE officer, has been appointed as the Director General of Research Designs and Standards Organisation (RDSO), Lucknow, the order said.
