The outgoing Government has appointed R Gandhi as new Deputy Governor for its central bank, RBI. Gandhi replaces Anand Sinha who retired in January this year. Gandhi will be shoulder the responsibility till 2017. He will be looking after the department of non-banking supervision, expenditure and budgetary control, banking operations & development, , urban banks, information technology & legal department. He has been extending his services as executive Director since March 2011.
