It
is not only railways that are under privatization drive, the NaMo Government
has also decided to privatise six more airports in the country. They included –
Bhubaneswar, Indore, Trichy, Amritsar, Raipur and Varanasi by January 2020. A
draft cabinet note in this regard proposing to put up airports for sale has
been circulated and the Cabinet is likely to approve it by the first week of
December. The board of AAI has approved the proposal and sent the proposal to
Union finance ministry. But prior to everything, this will be put up for
approval after the go-ahead from law ministry.
