Prime Minister Narinder Modi has completed 19 foreign visits in one year of his governance; perhaps the score is highest if compared with previous Prime ministers of India in one year span.
Modi began with foreign visit to Bhutan on June 16, 20014 and till May 19 he completed 19 foreign visits. He visited 18 countries, including Bhutan, Brazil, Australia, Canada, France, Fiji, Germany, Japan, Mauritius, Mongolia, Mynmar, China, Seychelles, Singapore, Sri Lanka, South Korea and United States single time.
But he got the opportunity to pay visit to his favorite nation, Nepal twice. First in August, and then second in November for SARRAC summit in 2014.
Modi has used foreign soil to target opposition party as well as previous government, which has also for the first time, feels opposition.
Deputy Leader of Opposition in the Rajya Sabha Anand Sharma claimed in April this year that the Congress party would send a senior leader to countries being visited by Modi to counter him then and there.
Congress reacted on his statement in Germany, when he said "Jinko gandagi karni thi, woh gandagi kar ke chaley gaye, par hum safai karenge (Those who had to create a mess, they have done so and left. We will clean it up)."
And in recent his remarks in China and Korea "There was a time when people used to say we don't know what sins we committed in our past life that we were born in Hindustan. Is this any country, is this any government…we will leave" on micro-blogging site Tweeter # ModiInsultedIndia invited varied reaction from worldwide in single day, expected to be for the first time.
