On the occasion of  Public Sector Day on April 11, President Pranab Mukherjee will present the prestigious SCOPE  Awards to Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs) at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi. Anant G. Geete, Union Minister of Heavy Industries & Public Enterprises and Babul Supriyo, MoS for Heavy Industries & Public Enterprises will attend the function along with Ms Seema Bahuguna (Secretary, DPE), Ved Prakash (Chairman, SCOPE & CMD, MMTC), R K Bahuguna (Vice Chairman, SCOPE & CMD, RailTel Corporation),  Dr U D Choubey (DG, SCOPE) and a host of representatives from public sector enterprises, senior government officials. The Award function is being organized jointly by SCOPE and Department of Public Enterprises (DPE). The Winners of  the SCOPE Excellence Awards (Individual Leadership Category) are Dr Anoop Kumar Mittal (CMD, NBCC), B Ashok (Chairman, IOCL), A K Jain (MD, REIL), K S Popli (CMD, IREDA), Ms Pooja Kapoor (Head- Business Development, WAPCOS) declared as Outstanding Woman Manager in PSEs. CMDs/Mds of REC, NALCO, MECL, ONGC Videsh Ltd, ECIL and GSL have been awarded in the Institutional  Category. EIL, WAPCOS and Ms. Seema Gupta (ED, PGCIL) have been given Special Commendation Award. SCOPE Excellence Awards recognizes the outstanding contribution of CPSEs and leaders for promoting organizational growth. The Winners of  SCOPE Meritorious Awards are  HPCL, PFC, HAL, WAPCOS, NALCO, REIL, SAIL, REC, GAIL & NTPC. SCOPE Meritorious Awards recognizes significant achievements of CPSEs in various fields leading to business excellence and competitive advantage.
