Indianmandarins has reliably learnt that apart from clearing 150 additional posts of DS/Director level officers in Govt of India encadred for CSS, the PMO is said to have cleared the proposal of creating 247 new posts of Senior PPS & Principal Staff Officers encadred for CSSS (Central Secretariat Stenographer Service).
It may be noted that the Sr PPS & PSO hold key positions in the Central Govt Secretariat and play important roles in the system. Along with the CSS cadre, it is CSSS who are considered to form the backbone of the support system run by the higher level bureaucracy.
