The Public Sector headhunter on Wednesday selected Mrs Seema Gupta (ED, PGCIL) for the post of Director (Operations), Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL). She will replace R P Sasmal, the outgoing director, scheduled to retire on February 28, 2018. As amany as eight candidates appeared before PESB namely: Anil Jain (ED, PGCIL); Deep Chandra Joshi (ED, PGCIL); Mrs. Seema Gupta (ED, PGCIL); Atul Trivedi (ED, PGCIL); Deepak Kumar Singh (ED, PGCIL); Rajeev Kumar Chauhan (ED, PGCIL); Shridhar Madhukar Chauthaiwale (GM, NTPC) and Pradipta Kumar Mishra (GM, NTPC). Mrs Gupta served as Executive Director of CTU Planning Cost Engineering (PGCIL). Prior to this she served as Chief Operating Officer of Commercial Regulatory Cell at Power Grid Corporation of India Limited.
