The PESB is taking stern measures to dissuade candidates from applying offline against its new rule that stipulates that only online applications may be entertained.
To drive home this message, the PESB has put off its selection meeting, which was scheduled for October 23 (that's today) for the post of Dir (Operations), KPL, to November 13 as two candidates filed their applications offline and even got an order from Madras HC for consideration of their offline application.
It remains to be seen whether the PESB goes for an appeal against the HC order or complies with it as an exception. The problem is if the PESB follows the Madras HC order, it may make a mockery of its own rule.
Meantime, it is learnt that three candidates have been shortlisted for selection. They are J Purushottam, CO, SCI; V Gopi Suresh Kr; and V Sivasubramani, DGM, RINL.
