The Public Enterprises Selection Board on Tuesday recommended Jagdish Chander Nakra, Director (Project), EIL, for the post of Chairman & Managing Director, Engineers India Limited (EIL). Nakra will replace Sanjay Gupta, the incumbent director, who will retire on October 31st this year.
Altogether eight members appeared before PESB for the interview namely; Vipin Chander Bhandari, Dir (HR), EIL, Rakesh Kumar Sabharwal, Dir (Comm), EIL, Jagdish Chander Nakra, Dir (Proj), EIL, Lalit Kumar Vijh, ED, EIL, Sanjeev Kumar Handa, ED, EIL, Mrs. Vartika Shukla, ED, EIL, Rajiv Gupta, Dir (Proj), TCIL, R S Khurana, Dir (Proj), MRVC
Nakra joined Engineers India Limited in 1983 as a Mechanical Engineer (Construction) in the Ocean Engineering Division. He has been serving as Director (Projects) EIL since April 12, 2017.
