New Delhi (12.03.2026): Friends and batchmates across services are happy with the appointment of Taranjit Singh Sandhu (Retd IFS: 1988) as Delhi LG who took over as Delhi’s 23rd Lieutenant Governor on March 11, 2026. Though it is being considered to be a political move, but appointment of a diplomat as LG of Delhi has many meaning. The city being capital needs a person like him at the helm. Consideration for such job to a diplomat made the civil servants from all across happy. It was a touching moment wherein he invited all his Delhi-based batchmates to be on his side.
